This Corporate Report presents bankmecu’s performance against its Strategic Plan for the period 1 July 2013 to 30 June 2014 unless otherwise stated. It is guided by the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) Integrated Reporting Framework and Global Reporting Initiative version 4 (GRI G4). bankmecu also provides statutory accounts data to support this Corporate Report, as required by law.

This report incorporates the activities of mecu Limited (trading as bankmecu) and its subsidiaries. It does not include the performance of third party organisations that provide services to bankmecu and its customers.

The merger with Swan Hill Credit Union (on 1 June 2014) was the most significant change to bankmecu’s operations during the reporting period. Following the merger, we gained:

  • 7,768 new customers
  • seven new staff members
  • a service centre in Swan Hill
  • $30.6 million in additional assets.
