bankmecu customers have a strong preference for accessing banking services through digital channels. Customers successfully logged on to our internet banking network 1,034,391 times in 2014. This is the first year we have tracked and reported on internet banking use. Additions to our digital banking capabilities included:
- Smartphone applications. We developed a smartphone application for both iPhones and Android devices. Customers downloaded 10,190 iPhone apps and 4,710 Android apps.
- International funds. We introduced online transfers, allowing customers to process their own international transfers. Monthly transactions doubled since its introduction.
In response to customer expectation, we intend to invest heavily in digital transformation in 2015.
